PlanePlotter ~ Basestation.sqb
This is the latest 'Basestation.sqb' file provided by Paul Little for PlanePlotter.
[Should you wish to advise any anomalies or provide missing data Paul would be delighted to hear from you! Email him from here]
Data is obtained 'world wide' and consolidated into one large database file. Simply unzip the file from this archive and place it into your 'Log Files' folder within PlanePlotter (remembering to back up your original!).
NOTE: This database file is for use by PlanePlotter users who do NOT use an SBS/RadarBox and need information to populate the appropriate areas of PP. This is a .ZIP archive file - don't forget to extract the contents for correct use!
SBS1 users should not use this database file as their sole source of aircraft information - you have been warned!.
[For further, more up to date, information see the included 'SBQReadme' text file]
No responsibility will be taken if the database doesn't work outside these limits.
WARNING :- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE BASESTATION.SQB FILE USING A UTILITY SUCH AS NOTEPAD OR WORDPAD.
If you associate the .sqb extension with these programs and then 'save' it will be rendered useless and may affect other software.
Courtesy of Ken Anderson, he has produced the following tool ~ Basestation Updater:
This is for users whose existing installation contains UserTags or with Interested flags set which will be overwritten and that information lost when a revised basestation.sqb file, provided here, is transferred to the users preferred location within their PlanePlotter folder tree.
The purpose of this tool is to retain such data whilst using the updates supplied in the revised basestation.sqb file.
The process describing how the basestation.sqb can be updated without losing existing records is described in a tutorial for end users here:
SQlite PDF File Tutorial, and the supporting files are here: SQlike ZIP File.
